Furry Refuge Community Rules
Pro Tip:
To report someone in telegram, you can use the `/report` command. To report someone in discord, use the `@admin` ping.
We use a 3-strikes policy here at Furry Refuge to ensure our community is safe. Though, on specific cases we will auto-ban users who may be harmful to the community, such as scammers and non-furry trolls. Below are our rules with a description of the punishment. We present a link to the rules to the user upon joining every chat and game server, making sure the rules are accessible and up-to-date. It is every user's responsibility to read and abide by them.

It is completely up to the receiver of the DM if they wish to file a complaint or not, since this is outside of our chats. Keep NSFW and smut to adult chats. If you want to talk about weed or alcohol, do it in any NSFW chat. Please dont talk about that stuff in SFW chats. | 11. | Casual discussion of self-harm, physically or mentally, is not acceptable. | Please don’t trauma dump. It’s awkward and harmful to everyone involved. No one wins and everyone feels bad. Staff are also not therapists and its unethical for us to give medical or pyschological advice. If you are having an emergency, please consult a hotline. | If our chat turns into an outlet for you to hurt yourself, we have the ethical responsibility to remove you from it to protect you and other users. |

| 14. | Do not use NSFW names, First Profile Image (1st PFP, the one currently showing), GIFs, stickers (ANYTHING DIRECTLY VISIBLE FROM THE CHAT) when in SFW chats. | We understand some people can't delete prior pfp images or edit stickerpacks, so our main concern is about what is directly available and shown to users in the group chat. | We will nudge you to change it, but after some time if you don't, we will have to remove you from all SFW chats and you will only be able to access NSFW chats. |
| 15. | If AI generated content should be posted, you need to make sure it is known that it is AI generated. | If you’re talking about AI content in the chat, posting is fine because there is context. If there is zero context and you wish to upload AI generated content, please mark the image/video/song as a spoiler or "tag" it through conversation or other means to let people know its AI. Be aware that posting content is not encouraged and might upset some users. | Posting AI content is allowed, but at the same time we need to be aware that it becomes potentially harmful once we do not know that it is AI generated. | 17. | If an ambiguous situation arises, the moderator has the power to decide how to handle it. | Our community is based on inclusivity, we do not ban people without sufficient evidence, as it's our duty to investigate and come to a truly fair decision. - Nudge – The staff will just let you know. no warnings or anything. just a friendly message to you.
- Warn – one “strike” on your profile in our database
Notes:
- Moderators under no circumstances should issue warns or bans for things that aren't rules. Please report this to @Mrs_Feathers or @Goodrich_tires.
- All punishments should be per event, not per message. If someone puts an advert into two chats, they should receive one warning for the event, and both adverts deleted.
- Staff should always remain unbiased and fair. We should never let our personal feelings about someone affect our judgement. If you feel like you can't be unbiased, ask another staff member to handle the situation. If you feel like a staff member is being biased, please report it to @Mrs_Feathers or @Goodrich_tires.
- We believe in the inherent goodness of people. We welcome anyone under any government, religion, language, nation, belief. We don't judge people based on things outside of their control. We are all welcome here so long as we all respect each other.
- We do not remove people because someone else has an issue with them. If you have to message a moderator to ask someone be removed before you will join, maybe you need to reassess. We are inclusive and open to everyone. We will not compromise on our mission to be open to everyone so long as everyone can be respectful to each other.
